Engine efficiency and emissions depend on the fuel atomization dispersion. The dispersion heavily ambient pressure temperature. In this work, to study Diesel sprays in engine conditions, an electrically heated, constant-volume, pressurized vessel was designed manufactured. controlling electronics software were developed tested ensure safe precise operation. A commercial Bosch six-hole automotive injector used. spray spatial temporal development studied. literature, liquid length cone angle are extensively used quantify these parameters quantified using a high-speed shadowgraph technique. Models derived describe evolution of core. Such models can be predict behaviour performance.
